PHYSIOTHERAPY

HOW CAN PHYSIOTHERAPY HELP?

Physiotherapists are registered health care professionals who deliver physical therapy interventions to correct a wide variety of health conditions in patients of all ages. Our physiotherapists perform clinical techniques based on scientific evidence and 6 years of university training. Physiotherapy pays specific attention to the rehabilitation and pain management of acute and chronic injuries as well as education and advice about health promotion, disease, and injury prevention.

COMMON CONDITIONS TREATED:

  • Dizziness and Vertigo

  • Concussion Rehab

  • Fractures or Surgeries

  • Hip and Knee Pain

  • Muscle Strains

  • Muscle Tendinopathies

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Shoulder Impingement

  • Low Back Pain

  • Tennis Elbow

  • Postural Dysfunction

  • Neck Pain & Tingling

  • Shoulder Rotator Cuff Injury

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A typical physiotherapy assessment (45min) will consist of a detailed history taking and specific physical tests such as muscle flexibility, range of motion, and strength to rule in or out certain pathologies. Findings of these subjective and objective assessments will allow the therapist to make a clinical decision and diagnosis. The patient’s functional abilities, participation restrictions, and personal goals will all be taken into account to create a holistic treatment approach.

All treatment sessions are conducted one-on-one between the physiotherapist and the patient, no hand-offs to supporting staff and no double-bookings. Private treatment rooms also ensure total confidentiality and privacy is maintained.

TREATMENTS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Soft tissue release to break down adhesions and relax tight muscles

  • Joint mobilizations and manipulations to improve range of motion and mobility

  • Exercise prescription tailored to the individual's needs

  • Dizziness and vertigo treatment

  • Acupuncture to release tension, decrease pain, and improve circulation

  • Proprioceptive/supportive taping techniques

  • Modalities such as Shockwave therapy, ultrasound, IFC, and muscle stimulation

  • Ergonomic workplace recommendations

  • Balance and gait training

OUR PROMISE

Both the Physiotherapist and the patient play an active role in their treatment, working closely together to accurately address and correct any underlying causes to ensure the pain, tension, inflammation etc does not return.

Our outcome measures and results are exceptional due to the strong collaboration between the physiotherapist, chiropractors, and massage therapists. We stand out from other clinics because our treatments are never ‘cookie cutter’ and are always unique to each person. We promise to go above and beyond, making every minute of your session worth your time. We will do whatever it takes to help you get out of pain and back to doing the things you enjoy, whether that be tennis, gardening, playing with your kids, or simply enjoying life again without aches and pain.

When we all work together, we reduce pain, promote movement, and wellness is maintained.
