ART
Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented treatment technique that breaks down scar tissue and releases tough, tight muscles. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements to quickly and permanently release the tissues and allow healing to occur.
Generally, the hands are used to apply pressure to the injured/painful or contracted muscle while a stretch is applied by the certified practitioner. If not it often takes a series of stretches to get the release of tension or spasm.

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Shockwave Therapy (SWT) uses high energy sound waves to directly interact with tissues of the body for quick and effective relief of pain and scar tissue. The sound waves lead to many beneficial effects in the body such as vascular growth, reversal of chronic inflammation, breakdown of calcium deposits and adhesions, release of muscle tension, and stimulation of collagen. The effects of this stimulation restart the body’s healing process and creates an optimal healing environment.
Common conditions where SWT has been proven to be very successful are plantar fasciitis, tennis/golfers elbow, rotator cuff injury, trigger points, carpal tunnel, and the list goes on.
INTERFERENTIAL CURRENT (IFC)
Electrical stimulation designed to release pain relieving endorphins, reduce muscle spasm and inflammation. Electrical stimulation can also be a great treatment for increasing strength in weakened muscles. This therapy is pain free and only provides a tingling or buzzing sensation.
ULTRASOUND
Slow penetrating sound waves that enter the tissues and stimulate more efficiency in cellular function. Effective treatment for increasing healing mechanisms, warming tissues, and eliminating swelling. Typically used in acute injuries such as ankle sprains, or chronic issues with scar tissue adhesion.
NARSON
Instrument Assisted soft tissue and scar tissue release – Narson 6 myofascial device is used at our clinic by our chiropractors and massage therapists.
If there is a significant and chronic (long lasting) amount of scar tissue from RSI, athletics/sport or surgery the Narson 6 in conjunction with MuscleCare cream is used to break down the unhealthy tissue, improve circulation, remove inflammation and spasm and promote healing.
